We’ve been taking pictures of the tom turkeys as they’ve grown and become more photogenic (in their peculiar blue-faced, snoody, wattly, caruncly way), but we haven’t gotten around to posting them. So I’ll unload a bunch of turkey pictures all at once. Enjoy!

I have a hard time judging turkey weights because I haven’t raised as many as I have chickens. But I’ll hazard a guess that some of the bigger ones are over 30 lb dressed weight. We’ve raised them larger than normal table birds because we’ve found a good demand for ground turkey, and it’s a lot more effective to debone a larger frame versus a small frame.
