We’re glad to announce that we have ground chicken made with our Certified Organic, pasture raised chicken. Some of you have been patiently waiting a long while for this, so we’re excited to share it with you for your enjoyment!
Months ago we surveyed our customers about our poultry offerings and we received helpful feedback. We asked about several ground chicken products, and the resounding answer was that plain ground chicken ranked as the highest priority for our customers. We plan to expand the selection to include some sausage varieties, but the voices were loudest asking for ground chicken, so that’s what we have today.
At home we have been eating test batches of our product as we’ve experimented with different deboning techniques and played around with various meat grinder settings. One meal we’ve especially enjoyed is probably the simplest – making chicken burgers. You can add various spices, but a really simple blend just includes 1 tsp of salt and 1 tsp of black pepper for every pound of ground chicken. Mix the seasonings with the chicken, then form patties, and grill them.
